Thank You For The Inspiration

On Saturday I attended a crop by my upline Denise Donald.  I have to thank her and all the ladies there for the crafty inspiration.  The project I was working on at the crop is a Flower index so I can take the book to go flower shopping next weekend.

I put notes in the book of what flowers did well the last few years on my balcony. I also wrote in other things the plants needed, such as water, soil, temperature, and potting conditions.

The book is called the Mini Memories Simply Created Album Kit (133332 $17.95) this is from the Seasonal Catalogue that will finish June 1, 2014.

This kit came with patterned paper, vellum, clips, pockets, three sheets of die cuts, buttons, doilies, and bakers twine. I also added punched flowers and leaves using matching cardstock.

This project took me two days to finish including researching the information on each plant.  Because Stampin' Up! gives you all that you need in the kit it was super quick to finish.  I can also add more pages to the book, so this can be something I will use for years to come.

Another project I did this long weekend is this fun and decorative frame.

I originally got the idea from one of our Team Meeting where we swapped squares with  each other to make a frame. I used those squares to make a frame for my Mom for Mother's Day.  The project turned out so well I decided to make this project for myself.

For this project all you need is a white 8X10 frame from the dollar store, 2 sheets of whisper white card stock, 10 squares cut 2 1/4" by 2 1/4", and one large piece cut 8" by 10".  You can pick what ever  colour combination you like, I chose blue and gray, so I used Marina Mist, Encore Silver, Basic Gary and Night of Navy.  You can pick random stamp sets, or combine similar stamp sets like I did.  I had so much fun creating this because you get to use as many stamp techniques as possible on one project.

Once I got all the squares completed and places down onto my Whisper White Card stock I decided to try My Digital Studio (Thanks for the hour lesson Diane) to do a poem.  I found the poem online and thought it went well with the birds and flower Stamp Sets I used.  On My Digital Studio I picked Custom Project , I typed in the measurements of the space in the middle, and started layering papers and typed up the text.  And Voila!!! My project was finished.

Thanks to Ria who made my Blogspot the Blog of the week, I hope you all enjoyed my projects.
